League Background and Information

The Buffalo & Western New York Junior Soccer League (B&WNYJSL) was created to foster the development of youth soccer in the Western New York area.  The organization provides the administrative structure necessary for the conduct of organized competitive youth soccer commensurate with players’ interest and ability. As such, the League is a Classic League offering entry level travel soccer competition as defined by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).

Membership in B&WNYJSL is open to any not-for-profit amateur soccer organization functioning within the Western New York region.  Only Member Clubs are eligible to register teams for participation in League play.  Participation in all B&WNYJSL Member Clubs shall be open to all soccer players, coaches, trainers, managers, administrators and officials not subject to suspension in accordance with Section 4 of Bylaw 241 of the USSF.

The League is governed and operated by a volunteer Board of Directors.  The Board is responsible for developing policies and procedures to govern all aspects of team and player eligibility, league play and discipline of members.  An annual general meeting is held to elect Board members and other meetings are held throughout the year to keep member clubs informed on matters impacting the League as well as to act as a forum to discuss issues of interest to Member Clubs.
